INANA COMMITTEES
Government Relations Committee
Chair: State Government Relations / FPD
This committee shall work with and under the direction of the Board of Directors and the national Government Relations Committee in matters pertaining to legislation and regulation affecting Nurse Anesthesia practice. The Committee works closely with the lobbyist.
The Committee works with the CRNA Dream PAC to solicit and distribute campaign funds to friends of CRNAs in the Indiana Legislature.
Education/Professional Development Committee
Chair: Professional Development Chair
This committee shall assist in the development of educational standards and consistently endeavor to further the educational program of the Association and that of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
This committee shall prepare a complete program for both the Spring and Fall Conferences and arrange any other programs and places of meeting for other regular meetings during the year.
The Committee chooses date, location, theme, speakers and topics for all conferences of the association. They also obtain AANA CEU approval/credit for INANA sponsored educational events.
Public Relations/Publications Committee
Chair: Appointed by President
This committee shall, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors, prepare and carry out an annual public relations plan in the state and cooperate in any public relations plans developed by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. The Committee is responsible for the content of the INANA website and social media posts.
Wellness/Peer Advisor
Chair: Appointed by President
This committee designs, implements, and monitors programs that foster lifelong healthy behavior decisions for INANA members. The committee's mission recognizes personal and professional risk factors (such as workplace and personal stress) and strives to address these in a manner that promotes a balanced and fulfilling personal and professional life. State Peer Assistance is support for CRNAs and student registered nurse anesthetists for all aspects related to drugs/alcohol impairment, suspicion of drug diversion, substance use disorder (SUD), adverse event support, and questions related to fitness for duty.
